Our entryways tend to be dumping grounds for everything! Our keys, bookbags, mail, shoes, you name it. It’s where we offload our things when we’re first entering our homes. It’s also the place guests see first when they visit. So of course we want these spaces to not only be functional but look good too. If you’re not lucky enough to have a separate mudroom, it can be a challenge to make these small spaces look good. These are some easy entryway storage solutions to hide away that clutter and keep the space organized.

Console Tables
Our entry console table is a catch-all for everything – soccer shoes (old and new ones), keys, and even masks. If you have a larger entryway or foyer-type area, console tables are great because they make the most use of the space. Most have a lower shelf which is great for shoe storage. If you can find one with drawers, you’ll get both hidden storage and an area of surface space for decor and additional organization.

Storage Benches
Storage benches are a great solution for any space but especially for entryway storage. They are the perfect spot to not only store bags, shoes, and outdoor gear, but are useful as a sitting area as well. If you have the room to add in a coat rack and mirror, they make the perfect last-minute check spot before you leave the house.

Wall Hooks and Coat Racks
I love a good coat rack. In our old home, we didn’t have an entry closet or space for a console table or bench so we went with the good ol’ fashion coat rack. Wall hooks are also a simple and inexpensive way to add storage to a smaller entryway. If you go this route, try not to keep to much on the hooks or coat rack or you run the risk of the space looking cluttered.

Large Baskets
Baskets are one of the easiest ways to add style and storage in one. They can be used pretty much anywhere in the home but are great for entryways where they can add additional storage to console tables and storage benches.
